Prosecution Office has started investigation into procedures followed for the sea pact with Greece, including interrogation of the signatories to this pact.
This investigation is launched after the suit filed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Sources from Prosecution Office say that it has submitted to Tirana District Prosecution the request of date 28.05.2014 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, over the process of negotiation and the signing of the agreement among Albania and Greece for "Delimitation of respective zones, of continental shelf and other sea zones...based on international law, signed on 29.04.2009."
"In this correspondence the Ministry of Foreign Affairs express the concern that has elements offence according to Article number 210 of Penal Code.
Meanwhile the Prosecution stresses that is collaborating with Foreign Ministry for the role and the responsibility of the persons involved.
