Assembly leader, Ilir Meta, said today that the country's European integration is a national goal and no political force should hinder the achievement of this major project.
Speaking at the conference "On the approximation of Albanian legislation with that of European Union", Meta stressed that "EU membership is not an end in itself, but is a tool to bring more prosperity and new opportunities for the welfare of our citizens."
"Given these aspirations, we have long ago set EU membership as a strategic national priority, wich resulted as one of the main challenges of the Assembly".
