Assembly leader Ilir Meta held a metting today with Foreign Policy Spokesman of the CDU Parliamentary Group / CSU in German Bundestag, also a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Policy. Philipp Missfelder.
During the meeting Missfelder and Meta shared the conviction that strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the Albanian Parliament and the German Bundestag serves to strengthen the political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries. In this context the two countries encourage the intensification of contacts between counterpart institutions.
Meta also expressed his gratitude for Germany support over candidate status of Albania and stressed that Albania appreciates the support and German assistance to advance in the upcoming European integration.
Missfelder said Albania candidate status was deserved and is good news for the region, thus making a special appreciation for constructive regional policy in Albania.
In conclusion, Meta and Missfelder talked about the latest international and regional developments, noting that constructive approach serves the region's European perspective of all Balkan countries.
