Through a status shared on Facebook, the former prime minister, Sali Berisha says that he favors the punishment of those who break the law when it comes to education. But according to him, by closing 31 universities and colleges is totally something that has to do with corruption.
"Both Rama and Meta are creating their private universities. Dear friends, Edvin Kristaq Rama decided these days to close in a blink of an eye several universities that had more than 7500 students and more than 200 million dollars investments. I want to make clear that I think all those who break the law should be punished.
"We need to respect the law of higher education in our country, but to close like this all these universities, that differ so much from each other, and many of them are very serious, means we are dealing with corruption”, Berisha said. He urged all Albanians to protest against this decision, because both Rama and Meta are destroying their future./albeu/
