Development of agriculture as the mainstay of economy which contributes significantly to GDP is one of the new govt. challenges in addition to economic recovery.
Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti, making the track record of the first 300 days at the helm of Agriculture Ministry, said that reformation of National Food Authority will be a priority of our government, wich will increase food control for more security for our products. On the other side, Panariti that farmer stimulating politics will be held.
"After the approval of territorial reform by the Assembly, now the process of taking a ownership certificate of the land will be much easier. In these 300 days, the Ministry of Agriculture has made it possible for farmers to have the lowest cost of oil for greenhouses use, to build labs that make the control of local products, but also to bring a complete package with easily export procedures for our goods and also disburden some customs fees. Future challenges of agriculture will be intensified in terms of promoting public-private partnerships, expansion of subsidies, rehabilitation of irrigation and drainage works, and market consolidation chain from production to the consumer." Panariti said.
