During World War II, Albania was occupied by Germany. In 1943 Germans ordered the Albanians to turn over lists of Jews residing within the country's borders. Albanians refused.

Norman Gershman is a photographer who experienced many stories and speaks through photography experience about Jews saved by Albanians. He stresses that the Albanian code of honor, "Besa", has played a major role in saving the Jews.

Norman says that in Albania there were more Jews alive after World War II than before the World War II, and that there is no evidence that any Jews have been turned over to Nasi.- Oculus News
