In this way, agricultural and livestock products of villages located near Tirana villages can be sold easier. This initiative was introduced yesterday by Mayor Veliaj during the presentation of Baldushk village administrator, Ilir Bermeta.
"We want to change the way agricultural products are sold in Tirana. The story that everyone who comes from the village sells on the street out of every hygienic standard needs to change. Will have markets exclusively for farmers, not for wholesale traders, in order that Tirana citizens have the opportunity to buy organic products, coming straight from the farm, at market prices," Veliaj said.
He also stressed that one of the solutions offered by the Municipality of Tirana is a new system, which defines the areas where products will be sold according to a specified schedule.
"This is why we propose that weekends to have markets dedicated to certain areas; Well, in this way we know that in a certain area or road in a specific day will be sold products from Baldushk, Farka, Peza, Ndroqi Kashari and so on."
