Six of five suspects arrested so far in the investigation of the death of 71 migrants found suffocated in an abandoned truck in Austria last month were Bulgarian nationals, AFP reported in an article about the role of Bulgarian criminal groups in human trafficking.
“Organised criminals in Bulgaria are major players in the lucrative trade in human cargo — and often have scant regard for whether their freight lives or dies,” is written on the article published on Thursday titled “Bulgarian traffickers making a killing in EU migrant crisis”.
