The Ministry of Culture will participate in the 15th Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale entitled: "Report from the Front" - which will take place from May 28 to November 27, 2016 at the Arsenale and the Giardini in Venice, Italy.
President of the Venice Biennale, Paolo Baratta, accompanied by the curator of the 15th Architecture, Alejandro Aravena, met on August 31 at Ca 'Giustinian, the administrative headquarters of the Biennale of Venice, with representatives of 48 countries have confirmed participation. This meeting is attended also by a representative of the Ministry of Culture.
Title chosen by Alejandro Aravena, curator for the 15th Exhibition of Architecture is:
"Reporting from the front".
Alejandro Aravena explains his project, stressing that:
"There are many battles to be won and more borders to be overcome in order to improve the quality of residential areas and thus people's lives. More and more people on the planet are looking for a decent place to live and the conditions to achieve this are being hardy from our to our.
"We will present cases and practices involving the use of creativity to risk, perhaps even to a modest victory, because when the problem is great, just a millimeter of improvement is significant; what we may require is fixing the notion of success, because success at the front lines is relative, not absolute. We are very aware that the battle for a better environment is a collective effort, which will require the strength and knowledge of each. That's why we would like this Biennial to be inclusive, to hear stories, opinions and experiences that come from the background of various Architects, Civil Society, Leaders, National Pavilions," is written in the website of the Ministry of Culture of Albania.
