In the domestic foreign exchange market, the US dollar continued to appreciate against the Lek (ALL), while the euro has remained stable.
According to the official exchange rate published by the Bank of Albania, one dollar was exchanged at 125.38 ALL on Friday, about ALL 0.91 more than the previous day and one Euro exchanged at139.76 Lek.
Foreign currency experts justify the appreciation of the US dollar with the effects of international stock market. According to them a strong dollar may reflect rising fuel prices in the domestic market, while they do not predict any drastic fluctuation of the two currencies in the domestic market.
