Minister of Defence Mimi Kodheli presented Tuesday in front of naval personnel the newly appointed commander of Albanian Naval Force, Brigadier General Ylber Dogjani, in a ceremony attended by the Chief of the General Staff Major General Jeronim Bazo, and other top military officers.
In her speech, Defence Minister Kodheli, after presenting the new Naval Force commander, said the noble mission of the Naval Force to protect maritime borders of the Republic of Albania is really a mission that needs increasingly more respect for the dignity that characterizes this force, the dignity that characterizes the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania.
“Albania’s maritime borders are inviolable just like our territory. Albania is part of NATO Alliance and as such is part of a collective defense that makes the Republic of Albania inviolable.” Kodheli said.
