Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Water Administration Edmond Panariti was received by the Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies in the Italian Parliament, Marina Sereni, in Rome on Friday.
Marina Sereni congratulated Panariti on receiving the “Honoris Causa” from the University of Perugia and discussed the projects of cooperation between the two countries.
Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies Sereni affirmed the continuous support that Italy provides and will continue to Albania in its path towards European Union.
Agriculture Minister familiarized Italian senior politician and official with the cooperation projects between the two neighboring countries and the progress of Albanian government reforms.
Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti is paying a two-day official visit to Italy, where he will also be meeting with Da Silva, Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). During his stay, Panariti is also set to visit the largest tobacco cooperative in Italy, Fattoria Autonoma di Tabacco, and explore opportunities to implement a project designed to assist tobacco growers in the region of Dumre.
