“Albania has met the conditions required by Brussels to obtain funds from Second Instrument for Pre-Accession assistance as a direct budget support for the public administration sector,” said Minister for Public Administration and Innovation, Milena Harito after meeting with the Vice President of the European Commission, Andrus Ansip.
Harito said she discussed with the Vice President of the European Commission the progress in the reform of Public Administration and Information Society, specifically chapter 10, which summarizes latest EU directives.
“Thanks to the success we have achieved in the implementation of public administration reform, IPA funds will be directly paid to the Albanian state budget and not through projects, as it has been the case so far”, she specified.
