The well known analyst Daniel Serer said that the establishment of the Special Court is a very difficult but important for Kosovo.
In an interview to RTK, in a show led by Janusz Bugajski, Serwer said that it is difficult for a country to bring justice to his soldiers alleged to have committed war crimes, thus, "one thing you do not do yourself, should be made by someone else ".
He cited the example of the United States for international trials against American soldiers in other countries.
Serwer said that the Special Court does not de-legitimize the Kosovo Liberation Army. Instead, alleged hidden crimes does de-legitimize it, he said.
Serwer also stated that Kosovo should focus as soon as posible in forming the army, because, according to him, has its neighbor that does not agree with Kosovo's independence.
"When my neighbor does not know me and does not exchange ambassadors, the risk of attack is higher. What would happen if Serbia entered the army in Kosovo, in the north, for example, "said Serwer.
He said he was sure that Serbia can not join the EU without recognizing Kosovo's independence and without exchanging ambassadors with Kosovo.
