The Archbishop of Albanian Orthodox Church, Anastasios Yannoulatos, in an interview for the "CNN" in Greece, spoke about current global issues and how these challenges are faced by the West.
Referring to the refugee crisis, Yannoulatos said that to prevent this phenomenon, human beings must be respected. "This is the greatness of Orthodoxy, when women do not hesitate to nursing the coming childrens of lost people," says Anastasios.
Meanwhile, asked if the West is responsible for promoting terrorism, Janullatos replied: "I have the impression that the West is not caring about of what means injustice and what means need and where poverty can lead people" said Anastasios.The head of the Albanian Orthodox Church says that Europeans have ignored Christianity. They have left a huge gap, which performers of Islam are are misusing it.
"We have an asymmetric world war. There are interpreters of Islam, highlighting other dimensions. This is an ideological war and terrorism can not be fought with aircrafts and missiles. Where do terrorists find the weapons? Who gives the weapons to them? Are not the great forces, who receive money? All those who buy the oil of terrorists, who are they? "Asks Anastasios.
Meanwhile, Yannoulatos urged that we must have the necessary courage for self-criticism.
"All societies have their fault. If you do not deal with poverty, you can not afford these situations. The biggest violence is to be poor," says Anastasios.
