US Secretary of State, John Kerry ended his visit of several hours in the Albanian capital, Tirana, where he had a busy agenda of meetings with senior officials of the country. The last meeting he performed with a group of civil society organizations and then headed towards the Rinas airport.
Kerry immediately after the joint press statement with the country's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, met with the opposition leader, Lulzim Basha. The head of Democratic Party of Albania said after the meeting that the party he leads will be in the forefront of efforts to preserve the Euro-Atlantic standards of democracy and human rights.
"We also for the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations, the record of our commitment i the position and opposition to support the common objectives. I'm very grateful that Secretary Kerry took time especially with the opposition and I consider this as a sign of good faith," said Basha.Meanwhile, after the completion of the joint statement by Prime Minister Rama, Kerry met with a group of citizens who came out to greet him.

While the Albanian State Police undertook a detailed action plan with responsibility for all Police structures to guarantee public order and ensuring the process of the visit. In order to guarantee public order and security were involved over 1548 police officers from the structures of organized crime and serious crime, public order, anti-terror, Traffic Police, Special Forces and Rapid Forces.
