A man in Turkey denounces his wife because she cursed the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyp Erdogan, when he appeared on TV meanwhile the couple were watching TV sitting on sofa.
Turkish newspaper "Yeni Safak" writes that the person in question had warned his wife that he would publicly accuse her if she continued to curse Erdogan at his presence.The incident occurred in Torbali, an area on the shores of the Aegean. 40-year-old man recorded his wife while cursing the president and then went to the Court to report the "sin". Thereafter his wife asked the divorce for the "betrayal", after three years of marriage.
"I would denounce even my father if I would have heard him to curse the President," said the man.
In Turkey, the opposition has recently presented a report, according to which at least 1500 people were denounced by Erdogan advocates for defamation. Among the denounced are journalists, students, and even Miss Turkey.
