Marija Djordjevic is only 18-years-old and very talented in Tennis and soon after could become the first Serbian citizen that will represent Kosovo internationally in Tennis.
The decision if the talented girl from Gracanica will play for the Kosovo flag will be taken by her father, who would give to Kosovo Tennis Federation the definitive answer.
Kosovo Tennis leaders are aware that the fears and prejudices of Serbs in the country might push the 18- year-old girl to say "No" to Kosovo."We have talked with Marija and she has expressed readiness to play for Kosovo. However, she said must be consulted with her father to receive as soon as posible a response from him," said Shkelzen Domi, head of FTKsë.
Marija, has a unique opportunity to play in "Fed Cup" through Kosovo, because she practically can't play for Serbia.
