Minister of Trade and Industry of Kosovo, Hykmete Bajrami, signed the decision for reciprocal measures against Serbia in the field of oil and gas transportation.
Through an announcement on her Facebook profile, Minister Bajrami, has shown that the decision comes after Serbia refused to recognize licenses of Kosovo drivers carring dangerous materials.
"From today, Kosovo will not recognize same documents issued by Serbia. The decision has begun to be implemented by Kosovo Customs, from 24:00 last night," said Bajrami.Serbian authorities have repeatedly acted against the free trade agreement with the countries of the region (CEFTA). In 2008, immediately after the declaration of independence of Kosovo, for three consecutive years, Serbia had not allowed Kosovo products to enter in its market. But in 2011, as a measure of reciprocity Kosovo authorities blocked Serbian products. Also, Serbia has not respected other economic agreements that were reached between Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels.
