At the annual summit of official and public agencies of Europe countries that is being held in London, ATA is confirmed as a member with full rights in this organization.
The London summit was focused mainly on the challenges that must cope with news agencies to further perfect the technology, but also with the growing competition of new agencies. The realities of today media is increasingly confirming the growing presence of online media, significantly adding to and removing the interest in silent manner from printed press. This phenomenon has been present for years, but recently is intensified and this has brought an increased commitment to become more competitive and sustainable the official and public agencies.
Clive Marshall, President of the European Agencies News (EANA) who opened the summit announced that already this organization has a new member: the Albanian Telegraphic Agency and welcomed the participation of ATA in this organism.At this summit, the heads of news agencies Anadolu Ajansi, AFP, DPA, Agerpres, ANSA, CNA, HINA etc, highlighted the idea of sharing experiences in terms of improvement of technology and finding new ways in online communication, but also the thematic diversity that should be followed because the classic structure of news agencies can not be competitive. Similarly, video streams should be extended, to make these institutions more present in the media market.
