Ardita Sinani is the only woman candidate in Serbia. In the Parliamentary and local elections are 21 political parties, but most of the leaders are men.
She says women in Presevo Valley is well represented in institutions and politics. But will fight for more rights.
Ardita is a teacher and believes that it is time for Albanians to fight for their rights with all democratic means. Women in politics, according to her, creates a peaceful atmosphere, Top Channel reports."If women are active in decision-making positions, then I believe that there will be no corruption, the law would apply, would have justice and the works will be passed on in the best possible way," said Ardita Sinani from the Party for Democratic Action.
Sinani says it will use all democratic means to raise the voice in an area that has had a lot of conflict.
"For Albanians of the Presevo Valley's most important is to reduce the number of unemployed, to have an economic development because we are the less developed area throughout the territory of Serbia," she continues.
Albanians in the Presevo Valley mainly compete in local elections due to the boycott, but their participation will be also for Parliamentary elections.
