Romania was expelled this year from the European Song Festival, Eurovision, after its national broadcaster has not paid the debds.
European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which organizes the event, said that the Romanian public broadcaster (TVR) has 16.3 million dollars in debt.EBU said it has asked Romania to pay the debt until April 20.
"The debt of TVR's risks financiale stabiliy," the organization said.
Anton Ovidiu should be presented Romania in the song contest in Stockholm on May 12, but the song is not eligible to compete. Last year, Eurovision has pursued an audience of 197 million people.Romania has participated in this competition for the first time in 1994, but never won it.
