Kosovo might boycott the European Judo Championships, which will be held in Russia from 21 to 24 April, Kosovo media writes.
The main reason is that Russia, as the host country of this event, does not allow in its territory to be used Kosovo's state symbols, Russia has not recognized Kosovo as a state.
However, the Judo delegation of Kosovo this time is determined to not concede, reports Voice.The coach Driton Kuka warned that if are not allowed the appearance of the Kosovo flag and anthem intonation, the four contestants, Majlinda Kelmendi, Nora Gjakova, Distria Krasniqi and Akil Gjakova, will not take part in this event.
