Two youngsters have chosen to promote in their doctoral theme the Albanian language and musical culture.
Orkida Borshi and Egli Prifti, once defended doctorates (PhD) at the Charles University of Prague. Two Albanian PhDs, were welcomed in a meeting by the ambassador of Albania in the Czech Republic, Riza Poda, who wished them for the success achieved, the result of a multiyear research.
Mrs. Borshi in her PhD handles the means of expression of the Albanian language compared to English, opening thus a new subject and a path for further research.Mrs. Borscht, has a university degree in the Faculty of Philosophy at Charles University in Prague and from 9 years is a lecturer of linguistics and Albanian language, now in charge of the Albanian specialization at the Department of Balcanistics in this University.
Prifti analyzes scientifically the Albanian piano music in a wider historical context, highlights the specifics of the Albanian language and musical and highlights some of the unique values of selected compositions.
Prifti is graduated in piano at the Charles University of Prague, where he has taught for several years; currently he holds concerts and piano lessons at an art school in Prague. He is finishes a second doctorate in interpretation, focusing also on the modern Albanian music.
