Today was held the opening ceremony of Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, BMO 2016", in which are participating students of secondary schools from 12 countries in the region such as Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Turkey, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Romania, Cyprus, Moldova, etc.
Deputy Minister of Education and Sports of Albania, Nora Malaj, was present at the ceremony, where she said that this is a good opportunity in the career of every teenager, every student who dreams of competing in the field of mathematics.
"BMO is a prestigious competition, an opportunity given to the promotion of the country in the international arena and the introduction of Albania on the map of countries that qualify to host and organize events of such magnitude," said Malaj.Malaj added that Albania has participated in international Olympiads of Mathematics since 1990, according to her, with dignity and honnor with various awards and medals.
33th Olympics of Balkan Mathematics, BMO, is held from 5 to 10 May 2016 in Tirana and this is the third Olympics of this kind held in Albania.
