An exhibition that starts with the first works of Theohar Gjini and Ballamaçi Anastas and follows a magnificent picture of Skanderbeg by painter Spiro Xega in 1931, is opened in the town of Kruje.
The exhibition entitled "Skanderbeg in the Albanian visual arts" is opened in Skanderbeg Historical Museum and will be open to the public until October 22.
About 30 works of art from the National Gallery are presented along with the most important historical documents. The Director of State Archive Gjet Ndoj spoke about the historic image of Skanderbeg according to the documents presented."We brought some documents related to the correspondence Skanderbeg had in his time with Sultan Murat II and then with his successor Mehmet II. We brought some other documents, "he said.
The exhibition is a continuation of the "Maison de l'Albanie" project dedicated to the Albanian national hero that began in Paris in January 2016 in collaboration with the National Gallery of Art gallery director Artan Shabani.
"After Kruje the exhibition will travel to Florence, in the places where lived and continue to live the arberesh in Italy, as Calabria," said Shabani.
This exhibition holds the most unique works made by talented Albanian painters.
