The Englishman Journalist, historian and academician, Sir Noel Robert Malcolm was honored by the Municipality of Tirana with the "Key of the City" for the contribution provided by his study of the history of Albania and Albanians.
"Key of the City" was presented by Mayor Veliaj who during the occasional speech he said: "Friends need to tell the story and perhaps are even more transparent in the way they see it. In a country such as Tirana, or in Albanian lands in Kosova and Montenegro, we have a rush to do things for the future, but sometimes we must turn dhe head back to understand what we have done in the past, which is our history because we are not here by chance. The research of Professor Malcolm taught us that this country, this region has always been the here, with the same dynamics," said Veliaj. The Professor Noel Malcolm thanked Veliaj for being honored by the Municipality with the city's symbolic award.
"I'm very happy to be in Tirana to promote the book and I'm very happy I came here to the Municipality for an honor that was unexpected for me. To thank you very much," he said.
Sir Noel Robert Malcolm is a political journalist, historian and academic. He received the title "Sir" for services to academia, journalism and European history.
