Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized the Croatian-Albanian business forum attended by Albanian President Bujar Nishani and Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic.
Ionian-Adriatic Pipeline and the highway are considered as major joint projects of both countries.
The purpose of the forum held in Zagreb is an additional recognition of Croatian companies with business opportunities in Albania through the meeting with representatives of Albanian companies.Addressing directly the Croatian and Albanian enterprises and businessmen of the two presidents, Grabar-Kitarovic and Nishani, they sent a clear message to both parties' interest in strengthening economic cooperation.
At the meeting is stressed that the areas of energy, tourism, agriculture, IT industry, food industry, military and economic sector and transport infrastructure are fundamental common interests of both countries.
Grabar-Kitarovic in her speech at the forum pointed out that the economic exchange and cooperation has room for improvement.
"The launch of the joint gas pipeline Adriatic-Ionian and Adriatic-Ionian highway, are a guarantee of the development of the two countries and Eastern Europe," Grabar-Kitarovic said.
Albanian President Bujar Nishani agreed that the two projects mentioned, as part of a wider European strategy, is a key factor for the development of both countries, but also the entire region. He noted that the gas pipeline Ionian Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) will enable the energy independence in this part of Europe.
