In Shkodra, in the premises of the National Museum of Photography "MARUBI" is held today the conference with the theme "Cultural Heritage - Motor Development".
Present at the conference was the Minister of Culture of Albania, Mirela Kumbaro-Furxhi; during her speech he is focused on the process of the revitalization of historic centers and their impact on sustainable economic and social development.
''We have come to understand that the entire territory of Albania has an extraordinary wealth of 1892 cultural monuments'', said Kumbaro and further pointed out that a good part of them were damaged during the past 25 years.Part of the conference were local government officials, scholars and experts in the field of cultural heritage.
Some of the topics addressed at the conference were: administration of cultural assets through public-private partnerships in Albania, the system of cultural values and sustainable socio-economic development of cultural centers, agro-tourism and cultural heritage, etc.
