Tourist season for 2016 opened in Pogradec

 Pogradec Municipality opened aficially the tourist season for this year. The Mayor Edward Kapri expressed confidence that this season will bring more tourists in Pogradec.

"The Municipality has started preparations by firstly fcutting the taxes for businesses, in order to give more breath to tour operators, from the largest to the family business dealing with tourism in Pogradec," he said.

 "This day is dedicated to everything that represents Podgradec, as cultural events, fairs and traditional outfits, to promote the ethnographic values, the culinary and craft of this area,"  the mayor said.

Then he inaugurated the new office of information and together with friends and numerous guests visited the village of Lin, were is opened for the public a 1500 year old mosaic of the Basilica of Lin.

 Pogradec Municipality this year will promote mountain tourism and cultural tourism. Places of great historical importance and picturesque will have the attention of the Municipality, from Bishnica to Gurin e Kamjes and from Selca e monumental graves to the  Monastery of Shën Marena in Mokër.
