European Parliament's rapporteur for Albania, Knut Fleckenstein after meetings with senior officials of the Albanian state as Prime Minister Edi Rama, Speaker Ilir Meta, as well as with opposition leader and concurrently chairman of the Democratic Party of Albania Luzlim bahs, held a press conference in the premises of the EU Delegation in Tirana.
During his speech he stressed that the European Parliament hopes that there will be a positive vote on Justice Reform.
"We want the political parties in the country to find a compromise and we have stressed how important is the international participation in the process. We support the Parliament speaker in his efforts to discussions to find a solution acceptable for all parties. We expect that the Albanian Parliament to vote on Justice Reform on Thursday. The European Parliament hopes that there will be a pro-reform vote. It is time for the truth. I want to see who is pro the reform and against it. If politicians do not agree with each other, then maiby citizens must be asked. For Albania is important the adoption and the implementation of this reform," said Fleckenstein.
