Albanians living in New York to contributed with 1 million and 800 thousand dollars for the Cathedral "Mother Teresa" in Pristina, it was announced during a reception of the Bishop of the Diocese of Kosovo, Dode Gjergji for the delegation of the Pan-Albanian Federation of US Vatra, headed by vice / President Agim Rexhaj.
"The Council of the Foundation for the construction of Mother Teresa Cathedral in Pristina, which operates in New York and its environs, has contributed for 9 years with 1,800,000 dollars. We believe that by next year the figure to reach 2 million dollars," said Marjan Cubi. He is the treasurer of VAtra and chairman of the Committee on fundraising for the construction of Mother Teresa Cathedral in the capital of Kosovo.
Bishop of the Diocese of Kosovo, Monsignor George thanked and praised all contributions and informed the delegation of Vatra about the work performed in the cathedral as well as preparations for the concert "Anthem of Mother Teresa", which will be held in the Vatican on September 3, 2016, on the occasion of Mother Teresa's beatification.
