This financing agreement by Germany worth of 20 million euros from 50 million euros given in total, opens the way interconnection with Macedonia, the project that reinforces energy ties with the region that Albania is expected to start work next year.
After the completion of the interconnection between Albania and Kosovo, Macedonia line is the most important energy project that will be built over the next three years. The line extends in a 55 km trail from Qafthana in Elbasan and 70 km from Elbasan to Fier.
