Milanovic to advise Rama on EU integration

Former Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic and Branko Grcic, former Deputy Prime Minister and close associate of Milanovic are expected to become advisers of the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama.

The news was made public by the Croatian media Vecernji.hr in an article a few days ago: Consultants in Albania: Milanovic and Grcic offer advice to Prime Minister Rama.

Milanovic and Grcic met recently in Tirana with Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, but also with other politicians. According to the Croatian media, the Albanian authorities are interested in the advice they can give to them, especially to the EU integration process, as former Prime Minister Milanovic has led the process for Croatia. Not formally traveled to Tirana and Branko Grcic, former Minister and Deputy Prime Minister and close associate of Milanovic.

Milanovic and Grcic met in October in Tirana with Albanian Prime Minister and leader of the Socialist Party, Edi Rama, but also with some Albanian politicians. Given the fact that in Albania next year will be held parliamentary elections and Albania has the status of candidate country for membership in the European Union, but has not yet opened negotiations, the experience of Milanovic as prime minister, who is already a member of EU, certainly is not to be dismissed, Croatian media reported.
