The Ministry of Culture of Albania, at the end of the third Ministerial Conference "Promotion of Culture for Sustainable Development" has signed the first agreement for cultural cooperation with Serbia.
The purpose of this program is to develop cultural cooperation and support cultural cooperation between different institutions and organizations of the two countries, exchange of experiences and the implementation of policies in art - culture and cultural heritage, in accordance with the standards of the European Union, UNESCO, in an effort to build and foster good relations and to strengthen cultural cooperation between the parties.
The agreement was signed by the two Ministers of Culture, the Serbian one, Vladan Vukosavljevic and the Albanian Minister, Mirela Kumbaro. Serbian Minister considered this as a historic moment for cultural cooperation between the countries and expressed his full willingness to fully support every cultural initiative between the two countries.Besides signing the agreement with Serbia, Minister Kumbaro held bilateral meeting with Greek counterpart, Lydia Koniordou.
During the meeting the two ministers discussed issues of art and cultural heritage, where they agreed on the need for a cooperation agreement between the two countries, to concrete projects discussed.
