Shkelzen Dauti, known as Genny is an Albanian who was found with a wound in the chest on the streets of Gilpin Close, Southampton, Hampshire. 21-year-old was rushed to hospital in Southampton where lost his life.
According to police, his death occurred in an unusual situation at 1:38 am on Saturday. They began to interrogate all the inhabitants of the area if they had witnessed something.
"We are still trying to determine the circumstances of the incident. Remains unclear the time he was injured with a knife. We want to hear all those who can help us better understand the life of Genny in Southampton and in particular, all those who have seen him in the early hours of Saturday. According to his family he was known by various nicknames," said Chief Inspector Ellie Hurd, from Hampshire.At the spot where the boy was found wounded were left bouquets of flowers and one of them read: "It was very fast, he was very young."
Residents of the area are still shocked by his death.
"I woke up at 8am to get out my dog and I have not seen anything. Someone said that someone had been stabbed," said the 59-year-old Karen Williams, owner of the club "The Hinkler" in the area.
"I woke up at 9:30 am but the area was surrounded by police and I do not know what happened," said Lee Chance, 28.
"They phoned in the early hours of Saturday morning, at 1:38, after he was found with serious chest injuries on Gilpin Close road, Southampton. He sadly died later at Southampton General Hospital," said a spokesman for Hampshire Police.
