The owner of a coffee bar has shown how he and the rest of his staff saved 130 people from the terrorist attack on the London Bridge and the Borough Market.
Mark Stembridge is praised as a hero by the British press, as he managed to accommodate these people in his cafeteria.
Stembridge explained this week to Huffington Post that hid staff, half of whom are ex-soldiers from Albania, have pulled people from the barracks, while armed people have been runing towards the facility. Also, the cafe owner pays to 3 of his Albanian employees the merit of the fact that the situation did't went worse.
"We were lucky that staff members are ex-soldiers. They kept quiet well the peace. We had about 130 people out on the veranda and pulled them all in. We made sure everyone was out of danger. There were 3 armed men out there who shouted out, but where reluctant to act when saw that we were somehow organized and changed direction. They went down the bridge and went to another cpffee," says the owner.
The latter also appealed to authorities that the owners of bars and restaurants should be trained more for such situations, while also thinking that in the climate created, the police presence should be greater.
Meanwhile Britain faced 3 attacks in 3 months, and in all cases the terrorism hit what is known as "soft target."/Oculus News
