The Church of Saint Mary, in Kosine, Permet, is undergoing restoration. The project, which is supported by the Institute of Cultural Monuments, the Ministry of Culture and the Orthodox Church costs about 50 million ALL.
The project predicts the interference in the outer and inner part of the Church.According to Culture Minister Mirela Kumbaro the restoration aims at restoring traditional elements and consolidating wall paintings in order to highlight the values.
"The whole area of Kosina is a very prosperous area with history, with an extraordinary landscape, combined with cultural sites such as the Church, making it definitely one of the favorite areas to promote family tourism," said Minister Kumbaro.
The church dates back to 1460. The most recent intervention in this religious site was carried out at around the 1980s, and is declared a cultural monument in 1963./Oculus News
