Serbia has sent 30 emissaries to UNESCO member states to lobby against Kosovo's accession to this organization.
This is confirmed by Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic through the Belgrade newspaper "Blic".
Dacic said that these emissaries have lobbied around the world and expressed the conviction that "there is no chance" for Kosovo to get sufficient votes for UNESCO membership."We have won two years ago, even though the most powerful countries have supported," Dacic said.
"The UNESCO Executive Council will be gathered in October, while the General Conference will be held in November. They have not yet warned the topic and the chances are small that they will do so," said the Serbian diplomacy chief.
"They lost two years ago, they will lose even now and at all other times," he said.
Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli said that Kosovo will achieve the necessary votes for UNESCO membership.
Two years ago, Kosovo failed to provide sufficient votes for admission to the organization. Kosovo missed two votes for admission to this organization. Some of the countries that have recognized Kosovo's independence have abstained./Oculus News
