Speaking of recent police operations aimed at striking criminal groups in the country, the investigative journalist Artan Hoxha made a strong statement in News 24 TV in "This Week" programme. He said the situation in Albania is as severe as the police directors receive monthly salaries from the heads of these criminal groups.
"The Criminal groups that operate in Tirana have been empowered so much, they pay monthly salaries for the heads of Police Commissariats or police directors. At this moment, the police give to criminals only one information - tomorrow there is a police operation and so the criminals do not get out.
