11-year-old Albanian chess player Elisa Isufi achieved a positive result in the European Championship for Youngsters that took place in Romania last week.
She competed in an unequal but strong competition with a total of 13 players from 12 developed countries such as Bulgaria, Poland, Austria, Norway, Denmark, Romania, Greece and so on.
In chess sport the key element is the age of the players as it affects the player's development, usually the players who face each-other have no more than two years age difference.Elisa is ranked in the same quota with players from Russia, Lithuania, Serbia, Israel, the Netherlands, Belgium or Romania.
With the accumulated points, about 40% in 9 rounds, Elisa confirmed her talent.
The draw with the U-14 Swiss Champion or the victories against the Norwegian and Austrian player are significant and hopeful indicators for a successful future at the highest levels.
