Two Greek nationals were arrested during the early hours of Friday morning while transporting hashish near the Albanian-Greek border. In their car Police found 107 kilograms of cannabis.
According to local police, the two Greeks said they were unemployed and had accepted the offer of an Albanian to transport the hashish to Athens in exchange for a sum of 2,000 euros.
They loaded the cannabis on the green border between the two countries and then headed toward Filat village near the border with Greece. But the agents had information on the narcotics transport and managed to stop the vehicle of traffickers at the entrance of the town.Police have announced as wanted an Albanian citizen and his two compatriots, suspected as members of a drug trafficking organization, but so far has not been possible to arrest any of of those who ordered the cannabis.
Meanwhile, the arguments of the two arrested appear to have not convinced Igumenica's judge, who decided to leave them in prison until the end of the investigation./Oculus News
