Minister of Finance and Economy, Arben Ahmetaj held a meeting with 300 foreign businesses in Tirana at the Chamber of Commerce.
During his speech, Ahmetaj said that an open regional market should be established where all tariffs should go towards lowering. The minister said the government's goal remains the economic growth of 5.5 to 6% at the end of this mandate.
"Our approach is to create an open regional market where all tariffs go towards lowering and extinction. The prospects of the countries in the region should go into a consolidated and open market for investors. Albania will be the country with the largest economic growth after Romania. In our focus is the reduction of public debt. Our goal remains the economic growth of 5.5 to 6% at the end of this mandate. Reforms have been difficult but necessary. We marked a record for foreign investments in 2016. We are discussing the entrepreneur's fiscal package for 2018 "- said Ahmetaj..
