The Austrian newspaper "Der Standard" in an analysis by the journalist Adelheid Woelfl, who is a good acquaintance of the Balkans, writes that Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Serbian leader Aleksander Vucic are staging themselves as leaders of Albanians and Serbs.
In her analysis entitled "The Balkan Game with Borders", the journalist writes that alongside Serbian Prime Minister Vucic, Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama has uncovered the "neighborhood" policy.
"He did not interfeered only in the politics of Albanian political parties in Macedonia, but also appointed four Albanians from Kosovo as deputy ministers. And, he warned that will facilitate circulation at the border crossing with Kosovo," writes Der Standard.
All this is happening at the same time as the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia is taking place. The historic agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, according to the newspaper, could lead to an indirect recognition of Kosovo by Serbia.
According to Woelfl's analysis, the redesign of ethnic boundaries that is not based on territorial integrity, serves only to two persons.
"This serves first of all to two politicians: to the Serbian Prime Minister, Alexander Vucic and that of Albania, Edi Rama, who are presenting themselves as leaders of all Serbs and Albanians, with the goal of achieving a "historic reconciliation" as Vucic calls it" the journalist writes.
According to the newspaper, most EU representatives are praising these two who have visited each other. "This is very strange, because relations between Serbia and Albania have never been a problem," she added..
