Boyko Borisov |
After a long time session, the Albanian Parliament adopted the law on national minorities in Albania.
This decision was greeted today by Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov."A moment of history for Bulgaria, after 104 years Albania recognized the Bulgarian ethnic community," Bulgarian Prime Minister Borisov writes in a post on the social network.
Bulgaria's deputy Prime Minister and Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva also reacted to the adoption of this decision."The bill was missing from the Bulgarian minority, eight minorities were recognized. We have made a lot of effort on this. The most important thing in a democratic state that wants to be a member of the EU is to prevent people from being identified when they themselves identify themselves as Bulgarians and have historical facts. I thank the Bulgarian minority in Albania for collecting about 3,000 signatures for about a month and a half," Zaharieva writes./Oculus News
