The judoist from Kosovo, Akil Gjakova, has passed in the U23 European Championship final which is taking place in Montenegro, and is on the right way to get the Gold Medal from this competition, until silver is safe.
This is at the same time the greatest achievement in the judoist career from Peja.Gjakova, who competes in the category up to 73 kg, beat initially the German judoka, Lukas Venekold with Wazzari and Ippon.
Then, in the next fight, he became more successful than Azerbaijan's jazzist, Telman Valiev, triumphing thanks to the two penalties that the opponent had, while in the semifinals beat with two Wazzari the judaist from Moldova, Cornel Andries.
Meanwhile, in this European Championship, Distrikt Krasniqi on Friday won the gold in the category up to 52 kg.
Two judokas Loriana Kuka and Laura Fazliu also competed today, but both were defeated in their first fight.
Akil Gjakova in the final will meet the Russian Ondar today at 16:00 pm.
