In a massive quarrel that happened last night in a residential building in the city of Basel, four people have been seriously injured and taken to the hospital. Police have intervened and arrested seven people who were part of the quarrel.
The conflict between the persons involved occurred shortly before midnight, Basel-Stadt Public Prosecutor announces. Among the most serious injured are the owner of the apartment and another person.
The exact course and the motive of the quarrel is the subject of the investigation, says the prosecution.Meanwhile, it is found that the arrested are three persons of Swiss citizenship, two with Kosovar citizenship, one with Albanian citizenship and another with Serbian citizenship. All conflicting persons are between the ages of 21 and 32.
In addition to the Emergency and Sanitary Practitioner, an ambulance from the German Red Cross and a firefighting went to the scene.
In the notification given by the police, it is mentioned only the state affiliation and not the ethnicity of those involved in the conflict. Given the described circumstances of the event, it is not excluded that all or most of those involved are ethnic Albanians but with different state affiliations, namely from Switzerland, Kosovo, Albania and Serbia.
