| Agim Bahtiri and Halid Al-Jafi'i signin the contract |
Municipality of Mitrovica, Mayor Agim Bahtiri and "Qatar Charity" Organization from Qatar, Halid Al-Jafi'i, have assessed their cooperation as very successful during 2016 and 2017, as the municipal newspaper reports.
"Mitrovica needed great support from foreign investors and donors. The Qatar Charity organization from Qatar is one of the first organizations to provide us with cooperation and has supported us with concrete projects in various fields and sectors. We have had an extremely successful cooperation with this organization and I thank very much its representative here. We will sign today another agreement for the implementation of other projects that will be very welcome to our citizens and alleviate their problems, "said Bahtiri.Qatar Charity Representative, Halid Al-Jafi'i, said that "we are committed to supporting people in need regardless of their ethnic and religious affiliation in order to improve their situation where they live. So we will continue to support Mitrovica and its citizens in the future."
From the successful cooperation of the Municipality and the Qatar Charity Organization during 2016 and 2017 in the municipality of Mitrovica, various projects are realized worth of 260.352 euros.
The projects include the opening of drinking water wells in the amount of 64,200 euros, the construction of four homes for homeless in the amount of over 60,000 euro, the distribution of greenhouses for 54 beneficiaries in the amount of 53,000 euro,
After signing the new agreement for the realization of 60 other projects in the coming year, President Bahtiri and Mr. Al-Jafi'i, shared certificates for project beneficiaries and other grants.
