The Montenegrin police have destroyed a drug trafficking group, where 11 people were arrested, including a 28-year-old Albanian from Malesia e Madhe. During the operation codnamed "Trick", it is reported that Ndue Pepaj is arrested, while the other 10 people were Montenegrin citizens. The 28-year-old is known in the area of Malesia e Madhe as a businessman because he is the owner of a luxury restaurant known as "Kavaliero" in the Bajza area.
In addition, Pepaj is also engaged in politics as it turns out to be a candidate for a member of the Municipal Council in Malesia e Madhe as a representative of the Socialist Movement for Integration party in the local elections of 2015. Albanian police announces that investigations on this case were conducted in full co-operation with the Montenegrin Police, Regional Cooperation Center SELEC, Romania, where during the investigation the police has seized significant amounts of narcotic drugs Cannabis Sativa, Heroine and Firearms.In addition to the 11 arrested individuals, a quantity of 928 kg of narcotic cannabis sativa, 1.7 kg of heroin and 3 kg of heroin mixture was seized. Albanian police do not give more details about this criminal activity as investigations are still ongoing. Pepaj is accused by Montenegrin justice as head of a structured criminal group dealing with drug trafficking from Albania to Montenegro. The investigations begun a year ago, while the 28-year-old from Malesia e Madhe has been arrested on Sunday.
On Monday, three other Albanians from Tuzi are arrested, Gjon Junçaj, Vasel Junçaj and Violeta Junça.
In addition to the drugs, the police have seized the luxury cars and a firearm that was buried in a house in Konik, a Podgorica neighborhood during the control conducted in the apartment of the arrestees, and will be subject to the expertise's case as it is suspected that may have been used to commit murders in Montenegro.
