The Albanian coach from Skopje, Oktay Mahmuti will lead Galatasaray Odeabank basketball club.
In a statement published by the red and yellow club website, it is noted that a 1.5 year deal with the coach Mahmuti has been reached. The experienced coach, who was born on March 6, 1968, had previously run Galatasaray between 2010 and 2012.He spent most of his career at Anadolu Efes, where he became assistant coach in the 1992-1993 season, while he was part of the staff that won the Korac Cup in 1996. Since 2000-2001 he started to lead Anadolu Efes as a coach, where he managed to win 4 league tournaments in the Turkish league. In the 2007-2008 season he reached an agreement with the Italian club Benetton Treviso, while in 2010 he moved to Galatasaray. Mahmud then led again Anatoly Efes and Darüşşafaka.
